WHO
WE ARE:
ONE Covington is primarily a group of business owners with one
goal in mind: to successfully market our businesses. Many of us
found that there was a need to leave politics behind and work
together, network, and pool our marketing dollars to promote the
entire city of Covington. There is so much to offer in Covington,
and even though there are distinct geographic areas that appeal
to visitors, residents, and others making there way through Covington,
we know that by working together with all Covington businesses
we can accomplish so much more.
OUR
MISSION:
ONE Covington’s mission is to stimulate awareness of businesses,
services, events, and activities in Covington by building consensus,
communicating, and collaborating together on marketing and promotional
efforts.
OUR TARGET:
ONE Covington is determined to market to those that find Covington
a friendly destination to dine, to be entertained, to live, and
to work. There is literally something to do for everyone here
in Covington. As our urban redevelopment continues, the possibilities
are limitless in providing products and services to just about
anyone. Our diversity is our strength, and working together is
our commitment to each other as we move forward.
HOW YOU BENEFIT:
We know how important your business is to you, and that is why
ONE Covington was formed. As a member of ONE Covington, you and
your business can share in the overall marketing of Covington,
while exposing your business to potential clients and customers.
100% of the membership fees will be used to further promote your
business and ONE Covington. We intend to promote events all across
Covington, as well as partner with similar organizations already
formed with the intent of networking, and ultimately creating
awareness about member businesses.
As ONE Covington continues to grow, this website will be expanded
to further promote member businesses, and many other advertising
and marketing opportunities will be afforded to ONE Covington
members as well, such as discounts on advertising and marketing
services.
WHO IS INVOLVED:
The response to ONE Covington’s concept has been tremendous.
Dozens of businesses, individuals, and property owners in MainStrasse,
The Arts District, Madison Business District, and the Court Street
entertainment district have shown interest in ONE Covington with
the majority of them committing to becoming a member, or have
already joined. The Growing list of charter members can be found
on this site.
MOVING FORWARD:
Right now ONE Covington has formed an executive committee, an
advocacy committee, and a marketing committee.
The executive committee is currently working to complete the necessary
documents to become a non-profit organization, and will be taking
the appropriate steps to draft Articles of Incorporation, By-laws,
and general policies and procedures for the group.
The marketing committee is actively seeking advertising opportunities,
and will report to ONE Covington members the information as it
is obtained.
The advocacy committee will work, in geographically specific areas,
to make the general public aware of issues as it relates to their
neighborhood and their businesses. Crime, infrastructure, and
beautification are a few of the issues the advocacy committee
will be working on with city officials and other appropriate organizations.
